Where to Play Tennis in Cincinnati

Want to just turn up? Sundin Fields is 3 km away. The City of Mason says its lit courts are open when nobody has them booked for a program.

That's 3 km from the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, home of the Cincinnati Open. Its own courts rent too. Members book ahead. Everyone else books the same day: $15 an hour outdoors, $25 indoors.

In Cincinnati itself, the Recreation Commission lists 14 places as public courts, and that's all it says. Lunken Tennis Center takes a phone call, and has clay. This guide tells you which is which.

Venue facts last checked October 3, 2026. The club's and the tournament's own pages checked October 24, 2026.

How booking works here

2 places take bookings. At the Open's club, members book ahead and everyone else books the same day, online. At Lunken, call 513-321-1772; the operator says calling ahead is a good idea. Guests there pay per player, $5 to $15 depending on the court and the game. The City's other 14 places say nothing about booking. We say so rather than guess.

When to go

The Open runs 10 to 22 August 2027, qualifying first.

Playing after dark? The club and Sundin Fields both have lights. Fleckenstein Park is open in daylight only.

Lunken's building closes in the cooler months. Its hard courts stay open, weather permitting.

How we checked

Every fact on this page comes from the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, the City of Mason, Deerfield Township or the operator that runs each center. Each venue page shows the source and the date we read it. We do not review courts and we have not played them for you. If something here is wrong, the source changed after we read it. Tell us.
