Queens · New York City
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
Flushing Meadows-Corona Park
Closed to public play from 3 August to 20 September 2026 while the US Open is set up and played. Field courts are bookable outside that window.
Getting on a court
Not one of the City’s permit courts, so a Parks tennis permit is not what gets you on. Access is on the venue’s own terms: check with them before travelling.
History
The complex was rededicated on 28 August 2006 in honour of Billie Jean King, making her the first woman to have a major sports venue named for her. King founded the Women's Tennis Association in 1973 and campaigned for equal prize money, which the US Open became the first major to offer.
